Privacy, kept simple.

Jollyturn and Wilderword are iPhone game apps made by Manuel Diaz. Neither has a developer-operated account system or advertising, and puzzles remain playable offline without signing in. This policy covers both apps, including TestFlight builds, and this website. Original Jollyturn version 1.0 has no third-party analytics; Wilderword and newer Jollyturn builds offer the gameplay statistics setting described below.

What stays on your iPhone

Each app stores its own game progress and preferences on your device. This includes puzzle boards, scores, notes, move history, completed scenes, music settings, and tutorial completion. Wilderword also stores found words, selected routes, hint use, journal entries, and keepsakes. This lets you resume play and remember your choices. These saved boards, words, and journals are not sent to our analytics service or a developer-operated game server.

Optional Apple Game Center

In Wilderword and Jollyturn version 1.1 or later, including TestFlight builds, the app can use your signed-in Apple Game Center account to send achievement progress to Apple. Jollyturn also sends eligible leaderboard scores, including your best 2048 score and hint-free Sudoku completion times. Wilderword has achievements and no leaderboards. Game Center may display your scores and Game Center profile to other players according to Apple’s settings and policies.

We keep a game-scoped Game Center player identifier on your iPhone to associate its local progress with the correct player. It is not sent to our analytics service or a developer-operated game server. We do not collect your Apple Account password, email address, contacts, or friends list.

Signing in is optional for gameplay. If Apple presents a sign-in sheet, you can dismiss it and keep playing offline. Manage Game Center sign-in and profile settings in iPhone Settings. Apple processes Game Center information under its Game Center privacy policy. Neither app syncs in-progress puzzle saves between devices through Game Center.

Backups and deletion

Apple’s device backup services may include app data, depending on your settings. Neither app operates its own cloud synchronization service. Deleting either app from your iPhone removes that app’s local data; achievements and scores already stored by Apple may remain in Game Center. Offloading the app may retain that data. Manage any device backups through your Apple settings.

Wilderword purchases

Apple processes the one-time Autumn Ramble in-app purchase and any restoration through StoreKit. Wilderword checks verified purchase information on your device to determine whether the journey is unlocked. When Share gameplay statistics is enabled, newer Wilderword builds also report checkout starts, purchase outcomes, and restore attempts and outcomes to PostHog, with the product identifier. These events help us understand whether checkout works. We do not receive your payment card details, and do not send purchase receipts or transaction identifiers to gameplay analytics. Buying or restoring requires an internet connection and is governed by Apple’s purchase and privacy policies.

When you contact support

If you choose to email support@tinycrewgames.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this information to answer your request and investigate issues. Our email provider processes the message to deliver that service. We keep support correspondence only for as long as needed to help you and maintain a useful record of the issue. You can request deletion by email, subject to any legal obligations.

This website

Opening a support or privacy link leaves the offline app and loads this website. The website hosting providers, OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and access logs, to deliver and protect the website. Provider-operated infrastructure may use essential security mechanisms.

Basic website statistics are enabled by default. We send the page visited and clicks on our App Store download links to PostHog in the United States to understand which games interest visitors. We do not send query strings, referring pages, form content, or screen recordings. We do not use analytics cookies or store a visitor identifier on your device. A random identifier groups events while a page is open and changes on a full reload or in a new tab. It is not connected to gameplay statistics.

We disable location enrichment and replace the IP address field in analytics events. PostHog and its infrastructure still receive technical connection information, including the connecting IP address, to deliver the service. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals. You can also turn statistics off below; only your preference is saved in this browser. Turning statistics off stops future events but does not delete events already sent or cancel requests already in progress.

Gameplay statistics in newer builds

This section applies to app builds that include the “Share gameplay statistics” setting in Settings or About & Support. Statistics are enabled by default. While enabled, the apps send games and modes played, level numbers, app version and build, and event times to PostHog in the United States. Wilderword records foreground sessions, game starts and ends, and the purchase and restore events described above. Jollyturn also records active playtime, completions, and hint counts. A random identifier groups events during one app launch and changes when the app restarts. We do not include names, email addresses, Game Center identities, saved boards, words, or screen recordings. We do not use these statistics for advertising or tracking across apps or websites.

You can turn off Share gameplay statistics in Settings or About & Support at any time. This stops collection and deletes statistics waiting on the device; requests already in progress may finish, and events already sent are not deleted by the switch. Unsent statistics are also discarded when the app restarts. Saved games are unaffected and games remain playable offline. As with website statistics, we disable location enrichment and replace the IP address field in events, while service providers process technical connection information.

Apple services

Apple handles App Store downloads and any diagnostic sharing enabled through your device settings. Those services are governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Neither app includes its own crash-reporting SDK.

Children

The apps do not ask users, including children, to provide personal information. A parent or guardian who has a privacy concern can contact us at the address below.
